Two early gold Sumatran necklaces sold together as I wore them for many years. 

The first longer one is coral and 22 K gold beads and double sea horse, having a copper backing. The beads have a core of lacquer . The surface is anointed with red powder coated with fish glue. It is a permanent  coloring. Minangkabau , Sumatra , 19th c or earlier. 

Measurements:  18" L x 5"W 

The shorter bead necklace combines gold beads with ancient crystal and coral from the Majahpahit period or 14th c . Also from Sumatra .
